Alexander Gintsburg announced no side effects of the nasal vaccine

“To date, we have not noticed any side effects from the nasal vaccine”, - he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Gamaleya center patented this vaccine in the spring of 2021. At the same time, in addition to the intranasal vaccine, the Gamaleya Center submitted another application for the use of the vaccine in a combined way - intranasal and intramuscular.

Now Gintsburg clarifies that the question of the use of a nasal drug will be decided after the completion of clinical trials, but so far there is no definite answer.

Also the head of the Gamaleya center pointed out that such a vaccine will need to be received no more than once every six months, and possibly less often. However, this question still needs to be studied.

It's worth reminding that last summer, 2020, it was reported that Russian scientists from the St. Petersburg Institute of Experimental Medicine had developed a coronavirus vaccine, in which antigens would attach to probiotic bacteria, which are found, for example, in yogurt and other fermented milk products. However, the further fate of this drug is unknown.
