Government sets holiday weekend for 2022

At the same time, January 1 and 2 next year will fall on Saturday and Sunday, so the weekend has been postponed to May 3 and 10. Thus, on the May holidays, the Russians will rest from April 30 to May 3 and from May 7 to 10. That is, a total of eight days.

Defender of the Fatherland Day in 2022 will have only one day off - February 23 (Wednesday). At the same time, the non-working Saturday, March 5, has been postponed to March 7 (Monday), that is, the weekend will be from March 6 to March 8.

Day of Russia next year falls on Sunday, so the Russians will have a rest from 11 to 13 June. The November weekend will run from November 4th to 6th. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Russian government.

In previous years, there was a heated discussion about December 31. It was repeatedly proposed to make it a day off at the federal level. This is what happened this year - the last day of 2021 will be non-working. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
