The senior technician of the vessel, rescued after the crash in the Black Sea of the Russian dry-cargo ship "Arvin", is now in a Turkish hospital, nothing threatens his life.

"According to the official data of the Turkish authorities, out of 12 crew members of the dry-cargo ship "Arvin", which sank in the Black Sea, ten people are citizens of Ukraine, two are citizens of Russia. Among the six rescued was one Russian citizen Nikolay Krinov, the ship's senior technician. He is currently in a hospital in the city of Bartin, his condition is stable, there is no threat to his life. The fate of another citizen of Russia remains unknown", - the diplomatic mission said.

According to the representatives of the embassy, the consular officers who arrived in the city of Bartin visited the Russian citizen at the medical facility. During the conversation, they found out the circumstances of the tragedy that occurred in the Black Sea. According to the senior technician, the crash was due to "bad weather conditions".

Consular assistance was provided to the victim, essential items were purchased for him. In addition, the embassy helped Ukrainian sailors contact their relatives.

It's worth reminding that the tragedy occurred on January 17 off the coast of the Turkish province of Bartin. Earlier, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency reported that there were no casualties among the members of the Russian team. At the same time, it was quite difficult for rescuers to get to the crash site because of the increased wind.
