During the coronavirus pandemic, 21% of Russians began to earn extra money in addition to the main employment, 5% found several new sources of additional income at once.

According to the results of a study conducted by the service for posting ads "Avito" and the recruiting service GigAnt, 39% of Russians are currently working part-time, and 33% of them have previously taken part-time jobs. 6% had to go to a second job for the first time.

Only 20% of citizens have never worked part-time before. Currently, 40% of Russians combine their main job with additional work. 16% have only a part-time job, for them it is the only way to earn money. 7% combine part-time work with study, and 2% even with two main jobs.

Among the popular spheres of part-time work are trade - 12% and marketing - 13%. Moreover, 18% of Russian women note that they earn extra money in marketing, 13% in trade, 11% each - in online support and in administrative and managerial positions, 9% - in a beauty service. The Russians mainly choose transport - 18%, security - 12%, IT - 10%, courier services - 10% and line positions in trade - 10%.

Earlier it was noted that half of self-employed Russians work at irregular hours. Moreover, the peak of registration of self-employed fell precisely at the height of the covid pandemic. However, not so many freelancers are earning . Only 6% of them manage to have an income of more than 100 thousand rubles.

Recall that in May, the unemployment rate in Moscow fell to 0.7%, which is half the rate of the pandemic 2020.
