Coffins made of thick cardboard cost from 2.5 to 3 thousand rubles, will soon appear on sale in the ritual agencies of Simferopol. According to Kommersant with reference to a representative of the funeral company, the weight of the "eco-coffins made of cardboard" will be about five kilograms. According to the creators, such items are suitable for all types of burial.

"During cremation, it will burn out in about five minutes, while a regular one burns for at least an hour", - the message says.

When the contract is drawn up, the relatives of the deceased will be asked to choose the color, model and decor, as well as the type of design pattern that will be applied to the lid of the cardboard coffin using an ultraviolet printer. Developers of ritual know-how are convinced that if cardboard coffins become widespread, this will reduce wood consumption by 80%. The businessmen intend to use part of the profits from the sale of cardboard coffins to plant new trees.

A few days ago, the capital's funerals offered their clients a new service - coffins with a transparent lid. They are advised to bury people who have died from coronavirus. According to the developers, the lid is sealed to the coffin. This should protect the people who came to goodbye from infection. Participants in the mourning ceremony will be able to see the deceased through a transparent surface, which will exclude the possibility of fraud when burying people in closed coffins.

The cost of one coffin with a transparent lid will be about 50 thousand rubles, while a simple wooden coffin costs at least half the price.
