A local resident brought 500,000 rubles to the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky district of Tomsk, saying that she had found them on the street. Prior to this, a Tomsk citizen turned to the police, declaring the loss of the corresponding amount.

“On January 14, 2022, in the evening, a resident of the regional center applied to the duty unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky district of the city of Tomsk with a statement about the loss of funds in the amount of 500,000 rubles”, - the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tomsk region says.

Police officers found that the Tomsk citizen withdrew money from one of the city's ATMs, and then lost it on the street. The itinerary was drawn up.

Some time later, a local resident turned to the Russian MIA for the Leninsky district of Tomsk. She said that she found 500 thousand rubles on the street, and the indicated place corresponded to the route of the Tomsk citizen.

“Currently, the funds have been returned to the rightful owner”, - the press service of the department said.
