60% of Russians became blood donors

As follows from a survey conducted by SberLife Insurance and the Rambler & Co media holding, the results of which are cited by RIA Novosti, 53%, when donating blood, wanted to help people, 16% donated blood for the sake of their loved ones or for a certain recipient, 10% do it simply because that there is time and opportunity for this. 17% made donations for additional days of rest or financial reward. 4% take care of their health this way.

The most active donors were citizens born in 1965-1980 - 37%. 31% were born in the period 1981-1996.

5% of citizens admitted that they donate blood every year, the rest do it irregularly.
