The Second Eastern District Military Court sentenced to 24.5 years in a strict regime colony of private conscript Ramil Shamsutdinov, who fired at a military unit in Transbaikalia in 2019. As a result of the incident, eight conscripts were killed.

"To recognize Shamsutdinov Ramil Salimchanovich guilty of committing crimes. By partial addition of the final punishment assign a period of 24 years and 6 months with no restrictions on the freedom to be served in a penal colony", - transmits TASS words of the judge.

On January 19, the prosecution requested a maximum term for Ramil Shamsutdinov - 25 years in a maximum security colony. This period is the maximum possible for Shamsutdinov, since at the end of December 2020, the jury found him guilty, but indicated that he deserves leniency. The prosecution insisted that he did not deserve leniency.

It's worth reminding that the tragedy occurred on October 25, 2019 in the closed village of Gorny on the territory of military unit No. 54160. Shamsutdinov shot eight colleagues for bullying. Later, we note, the court sentenced to two years conditionally private Ruslan Mukhatov, who was accused of mocking soldiers, including Ramil Shamsutdinov.
