The regime of self-isolation may be prolonged on May holidays and the days between it. According to RBC, this scenario is now considered by the federal authorities. According tothe sources, this will help to stem the wave of spread of the coronavirus.

One of the sources of the publication said that the most likely option for the development of the situation with the regime of the self-isolation is to prolong it from May 1 to May 11. This will help to stem the wave of spread of the coronavirus, the source explained.

According to another scenario, voiced by the second source, the regime of non-working weeks will last until the middle of the next month, and in case of negative developments, self-isolation can be extended until June 1.

Recall that on Monday, April 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with experts on the sanitary-epidemiological situation. During the meeting, the head of state said that the country has not yet reached the peak incidence of coronavirus infection.

“Now we need to do everything to smooth out this peak, reduce the time it takes to go through the so-called plateau, when the largest number of new infections is recorded,” the president said.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, the regions are two to three weeks behind the capital in terms of the incidence rate. And this means that in them in the near future the number of cases can sharply increase.

Earlier, the experts predicted that the peak in the spread of coronavirus in Russia would occur in June-July, noting that every second patient had a disease without the symptoms. It is expected to wait for a peak in Moscow in two weeks.

The head of the Research Institute of Pulmonology, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Chuchalin noted that he is afraid of the period of spring allergy - its symptoms are identical to those of coronavirus. He appealed for the additional training for physicians so that they "did not go the wrong way and start treating these patients from the coronavirus infection instead the allergy". He also predicted the overcoming of coronavirus in Russia no earlier than by July.
