Petr Verzilov, a member of the Pussy Riot group, the War art group, and the publisher of Mediazones, was detained by officers of the Russian Interior Ministry’s “E”.

This was reported by TASS, citing a source in law enforcement.

"Verzilov was detained, according to preliminary data, as part of verification activities on extremism," the source said.

According to him, the employees of the “E” center came to Verzilov with a search, but he did not open the door, so she had to be hacked.

Verzilov himself at 7:16 a.m. on Sunday told colleagues from the newspaper that they were breaking the door to his apartment. After that, he stopped contacting, and an employee of the publication, who came to find out what happened, found a locked door to his apartment with signs of breaking. The neighbors told him that at least ten people were breaking the door; they were in police uniform. Moreover, according to them, after they got into the apartment, no one left it anymore.

The landlord, who learned about this from the news, arrived at the scene of the incident, but also could not open the door. The management company employees called by him opened an apartment, but there was nobody in it.

Later, Mediazona announced the arrival of a large group of security officials in the capital’s ART4 gallery. The gallery hosted an exhibition of Oleg Navalny and the art group "War". The reason for the arrival of law enforcement officers in the gallery of modern art was not reported.
