Almost every third Russian eligible to vote would prefer online voting. Basically, citizens aged 25-43 are in favor of expressing their will online.

According to a study by VTsIOM (All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center) and the Center for Current Politics, survey participants cite the advantages of online voting as the absence of the need to leave scrap, the speed and convenience of the process.

42% of citizens are well aware that Muscovites and residents of Nizhny Novgorod this year had the opportunity to participate in an experiment to conduct electronic voting when they made a choice regarding amendments to the Constitution. The same number of respondents only heard about it, but do not know the details. 16% of respondents did not even know about the ongoing electronic voting.

Two thirds of citizens - 65% - would prefer to vote in the traditional way - with a paper ballot. The overwhelming majority of respondents aged 60 and over - 82% - would not like to vote on the Internet.

Only 1% of citizens would agree to vote by mail.

Let us remind that the turnout at the last voting on the adoption of amendments to the Constitution was 67.97%. One of the voters was even able to spoil the electronic ballot, interrupting "the transaction between a mouse click and getting into the crypto library of his computer". Instead of "yes" or "no", the voter wrote another word, and the system, when decrypting the electronic ballot, marked it as invalid.
