Among 38 patients with COVID-19 ambulance station employees in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, 18 are the drivers. There may be more infected - the results of several more tests are expected.
- People are in different conditions. For someone, everything goes away asymptomatically, someone has symptoms, someone has pneumonia, - said the acting deputy chairman of the Kamchatka Territory Roman Vasilevsky.
Earlier, the regional Investigative Committee began checking media reports about mass infection with coronavirus among ambulance personnel.
- The outbreak is defined and localized, today there are employees of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor and medical services. Disinfection measures taken. The work is structured so that people do not become infected further, - said Vasilevsky.
The ambulance station itself continues to operate as usual.
Recall that from April 1, Kamchatka has been in full isolation. It is extended until May 31. However, from May 12, it was decided to open some shops and allow citizens to walk in the park. From the same day, a mask regime began to operate on the peninsula.
In total, 554 cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in the region. Two patients died.
