Working pensioners, who still have to observe the regime of self-isolation, have the right to take a sick leave from May 12 to 29, without leaving home. The corresponding decision was adopted by the Russian government on May 15.

Citizens of 65 years and older who observe self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic can receive sick leave from May 12 to May 29, confirming that they have not switched to remote work and are not on vacation. Changes to the provisional rules for processing disability sheets and assigning them appropriate payments were made by the Russian government.

At the same time, you do not need to call a doctor to draw up a disability certificate. A sick leave certificate will be issued on the basis of the data that the employer sends to the Social Insurance Fund (FSS) in electronic form. No additional documents and statements from employees will be required. After receiving data from the employer, the FSS will transmit the information to the medical organization, which no later than the next business day will generate an electronic certificate of incapacity for work.

New sick leave, as well as past ones, will be paid directly to the employee by the FSS. It is reported that payments will be received for the entire period within seven calendar days from the date of registration of the sick-list. The allowance is calculated according to the rules common to all. Days on sick leave are paid in full, 100% size, provided that the work experience exceeds 8 years. For the calculation, they take earnings for two years, but at the same time it is limited to an average maximum earnings of 69,041.10 rubles per month.

We recall that on May 11, Russian president Vladimir Putin, during his address, emphasized the need to maintain a self-isolation regime for the elderly.
