The monologue of "Sovremennik" theater actress Liya Akhedzhakova offended "Officers of Russia"

The organization sent a complaint to the General Prosecutor's Office and the Moscow Administration. The appeal said that the "Officers of Russia" receive numerous appeals from veterans because of the play "The First Bread", which is staged in "Sovremennik".

In particular, the complaint refers to "excessive use of profanity" and "blatant propaganda of same-sex love" in the production. But the main reason is an insult to veterans in the literal sense in the monologue of Liya Akhedzhakova. The organization pointed out that they could not fail to notice "blatant unethicalness, rudeness and insult", despite the respect for art.

"Officers of Russia" reported that the organization receives numerous appeals from veterans, including the Great Patriotic War. “One of the main heroines of the play“ First Bread ”performed by People's Artist of Russia Akhedzhakova L.M.".

The following is the passage: “Yes! You are a hero, sort of. Well you fought in our great most patriotic war. You just had something written about it: Hero of the Soviet Union. Yes, "For the Defense of Kiev" there, "For the Defense of the Caucasus" medals, right? Yes. So Salimkhan is somewhere nearby. Well, hero? Here. Roll you out here. Fought there? Protected our peace of mind? BUT? Shit? Where is our peace of mind?" This is followed by obscene speech.

"Officers of Russia" suggest that the theater did not want to offend anyone with this performance. “Perhaps they simply did not think that with such things you can deeply offend the veterans”, - the appeal says. Therefore, the organization asks to adjust the performance "in order to preserve the nerves and peace of mind of the family members of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Heroes of the Fatherland".

Recall that the premiere of the play based on the play by Rinat Tashimov took place on July 19. On the website of the theater it is stated that the performance is about “ordinary people living in a very small town on a very large river”.

- To be free is an unprecedented luxury for the representatives of this generation. Only grandmother Nuria (the heroine of Liya Akhedzhakova) can afford such a thing, - says the description of the performance. The organization demanded to change the performance before its second screening, scheduled for 23 July.

Note that it is the unconditional right of both the viewer and the critic to make aesthetic (ethical) claims to the replicas of a play character. But the requirement to edit a work of art is already an attempt to build an institution of censorship in the spirit of Soviet art councils. However, if the "Officers of Russia" has such a huge demand for cultural activities, then why shouldn't the experts of this organization pay close attention to the performances with the participation of Olga Buzova. It is obvious that such events (it is difficult to call them performances) are offensive for many veterans of the theater scene.
