52 employees complained to the Federal Security Service about the coronavirus infection in a hospital near Moscow

Medical workers are confident that the infection occurred in connection with the actions of the administration, writes RBC. Employees of the department sent statements addressed to the head of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.

The authors of the appeal said that since March 23, patients in the therapeutic department began to enter the department of neurology. Some of them showed weakness and cough, as well as high fever. The statement said that the decision to transfer patients to a non-core department was not supported by a written order of the administration.

Patients with a clinical picture of coronavirus were in the department until a positive test was obtained. They were not transferred to specially redesigned beds. This could cause infection for both patients and health workers.

Doctors write that the department’s employees were not divided, they continued to contact patients with symptoms of community-acquired pneumonia, the employees were not prevented, after COVID-19 was detected by the doctors, the hospital was not quarantined, patients from the treatment department were admitted to the neurological department without sanitation, there were no bactericidal irradiators in the hospital, and the staff did not receive personal protective equipment until April 17.

Positive tests for coronavirus were found in 52 employees of the departments of neurology, gynecology, surgery, cardiology, resuscitation and others.

According to the publication, from April 17, workers of hospital No. 3 were given masks, glasses and suits, but the number of masks is limited, and the suits are not at all suitable for working with coronavirus patients.

- The suits are transparent, easily torn, the material is like cotton, 30 masks were given out, apparently we will have to wash them. Prior to this, they did not give us any masks or protective suits, while there were already infected with coronavirus. We still have no respirators. We were given very few disinfectants, and they explained that this was until mid-June, ”said Arkady Khaslavsky, a nurse of the neurological department.
