About half of the world's inhabitants are convinced that the actions that Russia and the United States are taking on the world stage are destabilizing.

Sociologists of the companies Gallup International and "Romir" published the results of a study dedicated to assessing the effectiveness of foreign policy of various states. Having interviewed 42 thousand people in 45 countries of the world, experts came to the conclusion that 47% of the world's population consider Russia's actions to be destabilizing. This indicator is slightly better than in 2018 and 2019, when 52 and 49% of respondents assessed negatively Russia's actions on the world stage, respectively. At the same time, as in the previous year, about a third of respondents (32%) believe that Russia's foreign policy contributes to the establishment of peace and stability on Earth.

“India (49%) rates the stabilizing nature of Russia's foreign policy most of all. Among Russians, this opinion is shared by 41% of the population. Russia’s policy is supported by 39% of residents of Latin America and Western Asia”, - notes Kommersant.

The highest level of confidence in the positive quality of Russia's foreign policy was expressed by 87% of residents of Kyrgyzstan, 72% of respondents in Vietnam, 61% of the population of Kazakhstan, 59% of residents of Serbia and 57% of residents of the Philippines. Residents of Finland (87%), Georgia (78%), Korea (75%), Jordan (72), Ukraine (72%) and Spain (70%) have the worst opinion about the quality of Russian foreign policy.

The researchers note that the survey was not conducted in the United States. At the same time, it was this country that scored the highest number of negative assessments of the quality of its foreign policy. 52% of the respondents disapprove of it, and 33% support it. Among the citizens of the Russian Federation, only 11% were ardent critics of US foreign policy.

According to the estimates of the inhabitants of the Earth, the most balanced population of the world considers the EU's foreign policy. The European Union was the only survey participant to receive a positive foreign policy impact index. It formed from the difference between positive and negative assessments of the respondents. Researchers note that earlier the positive EU index was higher by 13 percentage points: if a year earlier it was 22%, now it has dropped to 9%.
