Victory Parade was held in Moscow and in other cities of Russia
The parade in honor of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War was held on Red Square in Moscow and in other 28 cities of Russia, including hero cities and cities where the headquarters of military districts, armies and army corps, fleets are dislocated. The parade was attended by President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Serbian member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov, President of Moldova Igor Dodon, President of Serbia President Rakhmon Ducson, President of Moldova Tajik President Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov. Note that the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky was not invited to the parade.
The parade takes the head of the Ministry of Defense of Russia Sergey Shoigu. The commander-in-chief of the Suzoputny troops is commanded by Army General Oleg Salyukov.
The parade is attended by about 14 thousand troops. Involved more than 200 units of historical and modern weapons, as well as 75 aircraft.
It is impossible to imagine the future of the world if the Red Army did not stand up for it, President Putin said. He urged to remember that the Soviet people were in the brunt of the struggle against Nazism and it was the people of the USSR who were able to defeat "total evil".

The chief sanitary doctor of Russia, Anna Popova, told reporters that during a major mass event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory on Red Square, all necessary epidemiological protection measures had been taken. Thus, she commented on the question of whether the guests and participants of the Victory Parade are safe enough.
“All necessary measures have been taken to ensure that there are no risks”, - Anna Popova, head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Rights, told the reporters.
