The Ministry of the Interior is preparing proposals to strengthen state control over the circulation of almost 40 types of psychoactive substances and precursors. This was announced by the first deputy head of the Main Directorate for Drug Control (GUNK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Kirill Smurov.
He noted that over the past five years, 17 decrees have already been developed that regulate the circulation of over a thousand names of narcotic substances in the country. Another regulation is currently being drafted.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 7.8 thousand resources with information on narcotic drugs have been blocked. Over the five years of the department's work, 85,000 such resources have already been blocked, he noted. His words are quoted by Interfax.
Kirill Smurov also proposed criminalizing drug propaganda in the media and on the Internet, including social networks.
