Novichok's developer compared it to a nuclear bomb

He pointed out that the developers of Novichok were faced with the task of making chemical weapons as effective as possible for use on the battlefield, while short-lived, so that the advancing units of the Soviet army would not be poisoned. The troops, Rink explained, were supposed to enter the area after using Novichok, go through the area and “do the following”.

Let us recall that Rink pointed out that after the publication of the book by Vil Mirzayanov, another developer of Novichok, any chemical laboratory in the world could make this poison.

Earlier Mirzayanov said which of the substances in this series could have poisoned the Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny. He clarified that the politician fell into a coma after the use of a nerve agent of the Novichok group, which has the name A-242, against him. He also explained that this substance cannot be made in artisanal conditions or in someone's "garage", because the production of such substances is a "state monopoly".

Navalny fell into a coma on August 20. He became ill during the flight from Tomsk to Moscow, and the plane was urgently landed in Omsk. On August 22, he was transported from the local hospital by special plane to the Charite clinic in Berlin. A few days later, having studied the analyzes received by Navalny, toxicologists of the Bundeswehr came to the conclusion that he was poisoned.
