Investors began to invest in auto repair shops five times more often

According to Kommersant, referring to experts, the purchase of a ready-made car maintenance business is a promising direction due to the increased demand for repair services and the absence of formal restrictions on working with spare parts supplied under the parallel import scheme.

AUTOSTAT estimated this year the decrease in the number of car owners turning to official dealers: 77.3% against 87.1% in 2018. 11% used independent car services this year, and 6.8% in 2018.

Next year, the demand for services will also increase among official dealers by 15-30% due to market expansion, according to Fresh. Avtodom Altufievo predicts a decline in activity for those brands that have left the Russian market.

Note that parallel import helps to resolve the issue of availability of spare parts and components. Now the services offer the client more opportunities for car repair, supplying analog or used spare parts.

Now there is a shortage of auto parts in the country. Mostly those manufacturers who announced their withdrawal from the market. They have risen in price by 50%. Spare parts for Russian brands increased in price by 12%.
