The Il-62 and Il-76 planes of the RF Ministry of Defense, allocated for the evacuation of people from Afghanistan, have landed at the Chkalovsky airport in the Moscow region.

According to TASS, the Il-76, who was one of the first to arrive at the airfield, took out about a hundred people from Afghanistan, mostly Russians of Afghan origin.

It's worth reminding that on August 25, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the evacuation of citizens of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine from Kabul.

Earlier it became known that 1.6 thousand students from Afghanistan studying at Russian universities will be able to receive assistance from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Before that, the department planned to take out more than 500 people from Afghanistan. Let us remind you that representatives of the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) promised to ban the evacuation from Kabul after August 31.
