The media and social networks continue to vigorously discuss the interview of the popular Russian musician Alisher Morgenstern (aka Alisher Valeev) Ksenia Sobchak, in which he said many scandalous things, including doubting the need to spend a lot of money annually on the May 9 celebration. He expressed the opinion that victory in the Great Patriotic War is "cool", but noted that "we must move on" and celebrate new victories, for example, celebrate achievements in technology or space exploration:

“I don’t understand this celebration of victory, which took place 76 years ago. From year to year, millions are spent on this, they celebrate something, everyone is trying to do something - I don't know, maybe these are some kind of fasteners? Probably, there is simply nothing to be proud of. I don’t know to remember every year for almost a century that you won back then”.

The public movement "Veterans of Russia" intends to appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee with a request to check these statements by rapper Alisher Morgenstern about the Victory Day on May 9.

Journalist Kirill Shulika is sure that the veterans got excited:

“This is why Morgenstern is popular among young people, because it breaks the bonds imposed on the aging ruling elite. After all, nothing else can attract in him. And those who fight against him do not understand this. They do not understand young people, do not feel them, and it all ends with communication with specially selected activists who want to make a career in serving the aging ruling elite. If you look a little deeper, it becomes clear that it is not at all with Morgenstern it is necessary to fight ... "

The publicist Anatoly Nesmiyan is sure that Morgenstern's position is not accidental, they follow from the whole logic of Russian modern life:

“In fact, in any country there is always an elite that creates intellectual and material meanings, and there is a bohemia that creates images. In the good old days, representatives of bohemians were even ordered to be buried outside the cemetery, apparently, the ancestors knew something. Today, alas, the world is distorted, like a face after a stroke, and everything has turned upside down - now it is bohemia that creates meanings. Apparently, academics and engineers now also need to be buried behind the cemetery, since this is the case.

That is - you can brush it off and forget. Or release some Milonov, who will tell us exactly how to love the Motherland. But generally speaking, Valeev is a completely relevant representative not only of the bohemian crowd, but also of the current younger generation. Which also largely shares the stated point of view.

They are not what meanings, they can not always pronounce a phrase coherently. Or they carry something that you can endure not only saints. There are no meanings - people create them themselves. Regardless of what the artist Morgenstern thinks about this, this is quite a characteristic understanding and perception of a whole generation. "

But the journalist Igor Maltsev, as expected, attacked the rapper, calling him a "pig":
