On the night of April 28, a fire broke out in the Slata supermarket near the Angara hotel in Irkutsk. Over 140 people had to be evacuated. There were no casualties as a result of the incident.

Open burning was eliminated by 4:02 local time (23:02 Moscow time). After almost three and a half hours, it was possible to eliminate the consequences of the fire. The fire damaged the roof of the 140-square-meter supermarket utility room, cladding and window openings.

At the time of the arrival of firefighters, there was heavy smoke in the building of the outlet. One hundred people left the building on their own before firefighters arrived, and 47 people, including three children, were evacuated by firefighters.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the fire started outside the building from debris, after the fire moved to the roof. The reason was the introduction of an open source of ignition by unidentified persons. An investigation is underway.
