Deputy Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources S. Anoprienko instructed the subordinate federal services, agencies and state institutions to provide for the possibility of accepting representatives of Cossack societies to vacant positions, including the civil service for nature protection and environmental safety.

According to Kommersant, we are talking mainly about raids and emergency situations. In addition, it is planned to include additional activities in the programs of the national project "Ecology" to attract the Cossacks to environmental detail with the provision of funding from the federal budget.

To date, the department has 6137 vacancies that the Cossacks could fill. For them, training will be organized on the basis of departmental educational centers.

As representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources pointed out, military Cossack societies help the regions in the protection and reproduction of forests and participate in raids to detect illegal garbage dumps in Kalmykia, Rostov, Saratov and other regions. The Cossacks do all this free of charge.

- The salaries of foresters are very small. So the idea was born to conclude agreements with the Cossacks for a year, - explained in the ministry.

We will remind, earlier it became known that the units of the Cossacks in a number of Russian regions will become part of the Russian Guard.

- Now the issue of enhancing the involvement of the Terek military Cossack society in ensuring security and defense capability through the passage of military service by members of the Cossack societies under contract is being very actively worked out. (…) Subsequently, such an experience can be spread throughout the entire territory of Russia, - said in July the Deputy Chairman of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Cossack Affairs Yuri Chaika.
