In the private assisted living house for the elderly Trust in Yakutsk, 15 people, including guests and employees, fell ill with a new coronavirus infection. The prosecutor's office said that the outbreak occurred due to non-compliance with sanitary and epidemiological rules in the institution.

The reason for the mass infection was the failure to comply with the regime of self-isolation and mask regime. In addition, visitors and outsiders could be allowed into the boarding house, the prosecutor's office of Yakutia reports.

According to the materials of the department, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of art. 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, resulting in negligence of a mass disease of citizens).

It should be noted that as early as May 11, the media reported that a 81-year-old guest of the care house Trust had a coronavirus. The owner of the boarding house Mikhail Gotovtsev was fined 150 thousand rubles, writes Yakutia info. However, later all other guests and employees of the institution tested on COVID-19 gave negative results.

To date, 1,623 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Yakutia. Seven patients died from the disease.
