Statistics: The level of bribery has grown in Russia

As reported on the portal of legal statistics of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the facts of bribery account for 21.1% more than in the same period last year.

In every third case, the bribes were quite small - their size did not exceed 10 thousand rubles. Petty bribery was most widespread in Bashkortostan, Moscow and the Krasnodar Territory.

For two months of this year, the number of economic crimes increased by 1%. However, in the structure of crime, their share increased more - from 7.8% to 8.3%.

Large bribes account for over 7.5 thousand, which amounted to about 30% of all crimes in this category.

Material damage at the stage of preliminary investigation is estimated at 65.3 billion rubles.

At the same time, only 18% of those convicted of corruption crimes are sentenced to imprisonment.

Let us remind that Russia now occupies the 129th line of the rating in terms of the level of perception of corruption in the world, sharing this position with Gabon, Malawi, Mali and Azerbaijan. In total, 180 countries of the world took part in the rating.
