The head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, threatened local businesses with the closure of all resort towns if enterprises from the entertainment sector continue to ignore the previously introduced coronavirus restrictions. Aksyonov said this at a meeting of the republican headquarters for coronavirus.

Over the past day, the disease on the peninsula was confirmed in almost 300 people. During the week, the coronavirus was confirmed in 1.7 thousand residents of the peninsula. During the week, the number of patients who suffer from severe illness increased by 60%. Deaths from coronavirus increased by a third.

In general, the number of cases of coronavirus disease continues to increase in the Russian Federation. More than 21 thousand more cases of the disease were registered per day. Over the past day, the record for the number of dead has been set again. 669 patients failed to cope with the disease.
