This was reported by the associate professor of the base department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia "Development of human capital" of the Russian University of Economics. G.V. Plekhanova Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets. In her interview to the Prime agency, she said that, in addition, the actual place of residence of those pensioners who receive increased payments in the northern regions, and those for whom others receive pensions, will be checked. Those Russian pensioners who live abroad will also be checked.
“After that, a more thorough check of the correctness of pension payments will be carried out, because, on the one hand, citizens do not receive a certain part of pension payments, and on the other hand, the Pension Fund's expenses increase, which cannot always be reimbursed”, - said Ivanova-Shvets.
In her opinion, these measures should have a positive effect on the state of the pension reform.
“As a result of inspections, there will certainly be those who will be entitled to additional money and those who will have to return illegally received money to the fund”, - the specialist clarified.
She also noted that inspections will reduce the number of claims and applications for pension payments.
Meanwhile, the State Duma approved the freezing of funded pensions until 2024. According to Doctor of Economics Yuri Voronin, the next freeze of the funded part of the pension can be considered the collapse of the pension reform.
Thus, the authorities continue to save on pensioners. For example, in October, the Ministry of Finance refused to index pension payments to working pensioners, which had been frozen since January 1, 2016.
