The Central District Court of Komsomolsk-on-Amur sentenced a local resident, 41-year-old Viktor Gavrilov, to one year and three months in prison. He was accused of leaving his little sons of five and eight years old in the capital's Sheremetyevo airport unattended, and he himself went to another city to work.

"He was found guilty of committing crimes under Article 125 of the Criminal Code (leaving in danger) and Article 158 of the Criminal Code (theft)", - is listed in the report of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.

During the investigation of the incident, it turned out that the day before the trip to Moscow, the father tried to steal 100 thousand rubles from his friend's bank card, but the bank blocked the operation.

Let us remind you that the incident with the children took place at the capital's Sheremetyevo airport on January 26. The father arrived with them from Komsomolsk-on-Amur, after which he left the children alone, and he himself flew to Rostov-on-Don. With the children, he left a note with the hope that they would be found and taken care of. In it, the father explained that he had no money to raise children. The suspect was detained in February this year in Khabarovsk, when he was returning to his hometown. The mother and grandmother of the children then stated that they were ready to take the children. According to them, the boys' father repeatedly beat his wife and threatened the grandmother, and later took the children away, forbidding them to see them. At the same time, Gavrilov himself repeatedly tried to hand over the children to an orphanage.
