Record number of corruption cases recorded in eight years

According to the supervisory authority, compared to 2020, the number of corruption crimes increased by 16.5%. About half of them account for bribes of up to 10 thousand rubles. Basically, such crimes were detected in the Perm Territory, in the Stavropol Territory and in St. Petersburg. The damage caused by corruption has also grown.

If last year it was estimated at 32.4 billion rubles, now the amount is already 39.4 billion rubles. The value of the seized assets almost tripled: from 16.6 billion rubles to 45 billion rubles.

At the beginning of the year, we recall that the share of corruption crimes committed by security officials was almost 17.5% of all violations committed by officials. The Ministry of Defense is in second place in the anti-rating of corrupt officials.
