The Russian national football team in a friendly match in preparation for Euro 2020 could not beat the Polish national team. The Russians struck just one shot on target, the worst result in seven months. The game ended with a 1: 1 draw.

The game took place at the Meiski stadium in Wroclaw. Jakub Shverchok scored for the Poles, Vyacheslav Karavaev - for the Russians.

During the meeting, Stanislav Cherchesov used all six allowed substitutions, including goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, for whom the game in the national team became his debut.

Recall that Euro 2020 has been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The European Championship will be held in 11 cities from 11 June to 11 July. In the group stage, the Russian national team will fight with Belgium, Finland and Denmark.
