In the ¼ finals, the Russian Zaurbek Sidakov (pictured) was stronger than the Uzbek wrestler Bekzod Abdurakhmonov. The match in the category up to 74 kg ended with a score of 13: 6. In the semifinals, Sidakov will have to fight with the representative of Kazakhstan, Daniyar Kaisanov.
Sergey Kozyrev and Olga Zoroshavtseva lost in the 1/8 finals. They will not be able to continue competing at the Tokyo Olympics as the Chinese athletes who won them were unable to advance to the semifinals.
At the same time, Valeria Koblova won the consolation match over Anshey Malik from India. The Russian woman will be able to compete for the bronze medal.
