The Moscow football club "Spartak" in the group stage match of the Europa League defeated Warsaw "Legia" with a score of 1: 0. The red and whites secured a spot in the playoffs from first place in Group C.

The game took place at the Legia Warsaw Municipal Stadium of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski* (Polish Army Stadium).

The only goal in the match was scored by Zelimkhan Bakayev in the 17th minute.

At the same time, in the 97th minute, a penalty was awarded to the Russians. Goalkeeper Alexander Selikhov did not let the Poles level the score.

Muscovites advance to the playoffs from the first place, which they climbed after the victory over the Italian "Napoli" on November 24. Then the game ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of the red and white.

On December 8, we recall that Zenit St. Petersburg finished 3: 3 the game against Chelsea London in the Champions League match, thus losing the opportunity to continue playing in the Champions League.
