In Moscow, the Headquarters for combating unpleasant odors is created

An operational headquarters has been created in Moscow, which will identify unpleasant odors in the capital and minimize their number. This was announced at a press conference on Friday by the head of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection Anton Kulbachevsky.

The headquarters was created on behalf of the deputy head of the city for housing and public utilities and improvement Peter Biryukov. It includes representatives of executive authorities, municipal deputies, activists of social movements.

“Now the air in the city is getting better, but there are local problem areas associated with the excess of harmful emissions and unpleasant odors. Residents periodically inform us about this”, - Kulbachevsky said. He is quoted by Interfax.

Kulbachevsky added that while representatives of the headquarters are conducting explanatory work with enterprises, near which these unpleasant odors are felt.

Earlier it was noted that starting from January 1, it will be prohibited to make fires and burn garbage on the territory of private houses and in public places. It will now be possible to cook barbecue outdoors only in specially designated places with equipped barbecue facilities.
