Figure skaters Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov brought silver medals to the Russian team at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

In first place was the French couple - Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Sizeron, skated free dance by 136.15 points, scoring a total of 226.98 points - the achievement is a world record.

Russian figure skaters scored 131.66 points in the free dance, scoring 220.51 points at the end of the competition. Sinitsina and Katsalapov have been performing as a duet since 2014. At the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, they already competed for the Russian team in the figure skating team tournament, where the Russian athletes took first place.

Bronze in ice dancing was won by American athletes Hubbell and Donoghue, who have 130.89 points in free dance and 218.02 in total.

Another Russian couple, Stepanova and Bukin, finished sixth in the overall ranking, with a score of 205.07 points. Duo Diana Davis - Gleb Smolkin took 14th place. The couple scored a total of 179.82 points.
