Russian athletes have prepared a training manual, which contains instructions on behavior at the Olympics. They were warned by the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) about possible provocations and offered prepared answers to questions about Crimea, Donbass, harassment, Black Lives Matters and doping.

According to Vedomosti, referring to the document, questions in interviews and comments, requests for which will go to athletes, may be "provocative". This "unknowingly" will put athletes in an unpleasant position. Therefore, a list of stereotyped answers to “uncomfortable” questions was compiled for the athletes.

In particular, not to the questions about BLM it is worth answering that the attitude to the movement is a private matter for everyone, “but the Olympics, in any case, should not become a platform for any actions and gestures,” to questions about Donbass and Crimea, say that “ sport should remain outside politics. "

When asked about scandals related to the use of doping, Russian athletes will have to answer that they have nothing to say about it, since they did not participate in those, and the one that introduced them should comment on the sanctions. If an Olympian is asked a question about harassment, he will have to say: "I have never encountered this in my career, but I know that such a problem exists in many countries." It is also suggested to say that the sports world will deal with this problem.

As for the ban on performing under the Russian flag, it is proposed to answer that all the Russian Olympians represent their homeland anyway, this is a great honor and I would like to hear the Russian anthem.

And it is not worth commenting on the policy at all, it is better to simply answer “no comment”.

The ROC indicated that athletes are already facing bullying from Internet users, but it is not recommended to succumb to this. It is suggested to keep track of all your publications in social networks, comments and likes. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the department did not agree on the instruction.

Earlier, we will remind, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) forced to remove the image of a bear from the swimwear of Russian synchronized swimmers Svetlana Romashina and Svetlana Kolesnichenko before performing at the Olympic Games.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics will take place from July 23 to August 8, 2021. Its holding was postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the decision of the Japanese authorities, the games will be held without foreign fans to protect against the further spread of the virus in the country. The Russian national team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo will consist of 335 athletes. This is 50 people more than at the previous Summer Olympics.
