Former player of Moscow “Spartak” Quincy Promes was arrested in the Netherlands on suspicion of assaulting and stabbing his relative. The footballer's lawyer denies the charges, stating that his client was not at the scene at the time of the scuffle.
The footballer attacked his relative in the summer of this year in the village of Abkaude, the province of Utrecht, but they gave evidence against him only now, writes "Soviet Sport".
The footballer was detained. Now he faces up to four years in prison.
Promes is currently playing for Ajax. He has repeatedly found himself in the spotlight, breaking the coronavirus quarantine and recording videos with a rapper accused of murder.
