Russian hockey players dropped out of the tournament at the stage of one fourth of the finals, losing to the Swiss team with a score of 2:4 (0:0, 1:1, 1:3). Russian athletes met with Canadians at the group stage, losing during the meeting with a score of 6:1 (2:0, 2:1, 2:0).
