Question of the day: will Russian television show the Ukraine-Sweden match at Euro 2020?

Social networks were surprised to note that the broadcast of the European Football Championship match between the national teams of Sweden and Ukraine is missing in the program of the Russia-1 TV channel. The air is provided only on the Internet portal VGTRK "Lookmot.ru".

This game is to take place on June 29 at 22:00 Moscow time, but it is not in the broadcasting network of "Russia-1", and after all, this match should be broadcast on this channel by lot. Instead of football, the TV series "Expert" and the talk show "Evening with Vladimir Solovyov" will be shown there.

Of course, the first reaction of bloggers to this situation was purely political. So social psychologist Alexey Roshchin writes:

“Until now, this has not happened - RosTV, as if undermined, broadcasted ALL the matches of the final stage of the European Championship, using the forces of as many as three federal channels - First, Russia and MatchTV. It turned out to be a kind of paradox: when there was a not so important stage of "matches in the group" - they showed EVERYTHING; and how the “play-off” stage began, the elimination matches, when each match was decisive - the “gaps” suddenly began. Why?

The answer is nowhere simpler - and it is very indecent and shameful: Russian TV suddenly decided that it was not necessary to show ... the Sweden-Ukraine match. Austria-Italy should be shown live, but Ukraine-Sweden should not!

That is, they showed the COMPLEXES to the whole world. The usual such complexes are inferiority. Like, how is this so - Russia with the European Championship has long ago and ingloriously departed, and Ukraine is still playing! Moreover, what good, Sweden will beat and go even further! How to survive this ?! Isn't there enough condrats from such "injustice", exhausted by the Russians' resentment?

And maybe it will be even worse ?? The Russians will see how Ukraine will reach the quarter-finals - and decide that the Maidan was right ?! Yes, it will be generally treason, undermining the foundations and extremism!"

However, experts Telegram channel "Manuals" believe that there is no policy, but there is just business:

“They are looking for politics, but it’s about money. Despite Ukraine's status as an enemy state, interest in her national team in Russia remains, and she has a lot of fans (and haters). In fact, this is the second most interesting team for EURO 2020 after the Russian national team. This means that you can once again bargain, who and for how much will show this match of the 1/8 finals, as previously happened with the match Russia - Finland..."

This version is partly confirmed by the publication "Rise", which reassures football fans with a message referring to "a source on" Russia-1 "that there is nothing strange in this phenomenon - usually the show of sports competitions on the channel is announced a day before.

The meeting of the national teams of Ukraine and Sweden will appear in the schedule tomorrow, - the source of the "Podyom" assured.

As you know, on June 23, the Ukrainian national football team for the first time in its history reached the playoffs of the European Championship, gaining three points in the group. The weedy Russia scored the same number in her group, but was forced to leave the championship due to the worst difference between goals scored and conceded. So, elementary envy could have played an important role in canceling the broadcast (if it really was canceled), it's no secret that many analysts explain the success of the Ukrainian national team by luck.

The same Roshchin is rightly indignant:

After all, the Russians' support for Ukraine in football (YouTube is full of examples) - it was at least touching. Such things do more for reconciliation than a hundred (failed) meetings between Putin and Zelensky. And such pain is not at all a sign of weakness; on the contrary, it is a sign of POWER. The strength and generosity of the people, who constantly makes it clear that they have not at all oskotnitsya, despite all the efforts of telepropaganda.

And so the propagandists, seeing their impotence, simply decided to do a petty dirty trick - fortunately, "they have a button in their hands." Should not have. We must keep our meanness in our hands..."
