Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new Vision EQXX electric car. On just one battery charge, in one day he managed to overcome the distance from the German Sindelfingen through Switzerland and northern Italy and reached the French city of Cassis on the Cote d'Azur.
"We did it! Easily traveled over 1,000 kilometers on a single battery charge with a consumption of just 8.7 kWh/100 km in real road conditions”, - said Ola Kellenius, Chairman of the Management Board of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
The company notes that the test drive took place in different weather conditions, at different speeds, at different heights above sea level. Upon arrival in Cassis, the battery showed another 15% charge, which is about 140 kilometers. In general, during the journey, Vision EQXX spent electricity equivalent to 9 liters of gasoline.
It's worth reminding that in July last year, the company announced the creation of this model of an electric car, promising that it will have the most efficient power plant and the largest power reserve without recharging.
