"It is planned to characterize the regional features of the etiological structure of community-acquired pneumonia, taking into account which a prototype of a DNA-biochip will be developed", - said in the message of Rospotrebnadzor.

The development itself is carried out by the Engineering Center for Microtechnology and Diagnostics of ETU "LETI". There, for several years now, they have been developing the direction of research and development of multimodal biosensors for the express determination of biomarkers, viruses, microorganisms, including express diagnostics of SARS-CoV-2 using peptides.

It/s worth reminding that at the end of last year, the Vector Research Center created an express test that can detect coronavirus within 18 minutes. The center indicated that such a test system is able to increase screening performance sixfold. At the same time, additional resources of diagnostic laboratories will not be required.
