A powerful explosion rocked near the regional administration in Kharkiv (VIDEO)

Social media users are spreading videos of the March 1 missile attack on the regional administration in Kharkov, Ukraine, located on Svoboda Square.

“The explosion near the Kharkov regional administration and its consequences. According to our information, the missile arrived from the northwest, from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian troops are not deployed there”, - the Mash telegram channel writes.

As Fontanka notes, videos of the state of the administration building after the terrible explosion have already appeared on social networks.

The military operation in Ukraine began after the Russian Federation recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) on February 21.

On February 22, the OSCE called on Russia to immediately revoke recognition of the DPR and LPR. The statement notes that the decision of the Russian Federation is a violation of international law and the fundamental principles of the OSCE, and also contradicts the Minsk agreements.

Meanwhile, following the recognition of the LPR and the DPR, on February 24, the Russian authorities launched a military special operation on the territory of Ukraine, explaining that its goal was to “denazify” and “liberate” the republic from “drug addicts and fascists.” Western countries condemned the actions of the Russian Federation and imposed economic sanctions against Russia.
