Elon Musk called self-isolation a “fascist” measure

- This is not democratic, this is not freedom. Give people back their damn freedom, ”wrote Elon Musk, adding that depriving people of the opportunity to leave their homes is“ fascist ”.

He said that Tesla “will withstand the storm,” but many small companies will not “survive” under restrictive quarantine measures.

- I would call it the forcible imprisonment of people in their homes. Not for this, people came to America and built this country, ”Musk said.

Almost at the same time, Mark Zuckerberg wrote that he was concerned about the announced mitigation of quarantine. He said the economic consequences of the pandemic will be longer than it seems now.

“Too quickly opening public places almost guarantees a subsequent outbreak,” Zuckerberg suggested.

Recall that billionaires argued before. For example, in 2017, the subject of their disagreement was artificial intelligence. Zuckerberg said that the danger of enslavement by robots of their creators was exaggerated, and Musk, in turn, called the opponent’s point of view limited.

Note that the headquarters of Tesla and Facebook are located in California, the state that was one of the first in the United States to introduce a self-isolation regime.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that he intends to abolish quarantine, but carefully and in stages.
