Japan to freeze assets of four Russian banks

“The assets of all seven banks that were previously disconnected from SWIFT will be frozen”, - TASS quoted the minister as saying.

It should be noted that on the eve of Sovcombank, which was sanctioned, warned its customers about the impossibility of making foreign currency payments abroad due to the disconnection of the credit institution from the SWIFT system.

It's worth reminding that sanctions against the Russian Federation were also imposed by the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Switzerland and the EU countries. Such steps are being taken against the backdrop of Moscow conducting a military special operation in Ukraine.
