"On December 2, a special deportation flight with 23 Russian citizens on board flew from Harrisburg International Airport (Pennsylvania) to the Russian Federation", - the diplomatic mission said.

All citizens were held in US penitentiaries for various offenses.

"The flight was organized thanks to the close cooperation of the Embassy with the US Immigration and Customs Service", - indicates the diplomatic service.

It is also noted that at the end of last month, embassy officials visited the Russian citizens who are subject to deportation at the York Immigration Center in Pennsylvania. During the visiting consular session, the Russians were issued certificates of return to the Russian Federation. The Russian side "intends to continue to interact with American partners in this area".
