“My son's comrades-in-arms said that he died several hours before the liberation of Shushi. Not far from the location of their assault detachment, a shell exploded, the commander and his charges were seriously wounded. Jalil was pulling the wounded commander from the battlefield when another shell exploded near him. My son died heroically saving a friend. Soon Shusha was released. My son's soul rejoices in heaven. May the Almighty rest the souls of all our martyrs, ”Gahraman Mammadov said.

Jalil was the eldest of the three brothers. He is buried in his native village.
