The President of Ukraine in 1991-1994, now 87-year-old Leonid Kravchuk, who heads the country's delegation to the trilateral contact group for resolving the conflict in Donbass, said that the country's armed forces would mirror the response to the opening of fire from the enemy in this region.

Leonid Kravchuk accused the servicemen of the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass of violating the peace accords and threatened that if they continued to do so, the Ukrainian troops would respond adequately and in a mirror-like manner.

"We have no other choice", - rambler.ru quotes the words of Leonid Kravchuk. "We cannot watch them shoot, kill us and call it a provocation. This is not a provocation - this is war".

In turn, the press service of the people's militia department of the unrecognized Donetsk People's Republic said that in the Mariupol direction from temporary firing positions in the village of Vodyanoe, the Ukrainian military from the battalion of the marines of the 36th brigade fired 100 mines from an 82-mm mortar in the area controlled by the separatists settlement Leninskoe (Uzhovka).

International observers have not yet reacted in any way to the next aggravation of the situation in Donbass. The unrecognized republics reported that in connection with this, the militia units were also given permission to conduct preemptive fire to suppress and destroy enemy firing points. Press-secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov previously said that the question of Donbass joining Russia is not on agenda.
