The EU has proposed adding Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to the sanctions list (pictured). This is reported by AFP, referring to the text of the document.

Sanctions“The European Commission has proposed imposing sanctions on the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill,” the agency said in a statement (quoted by RIA Novosti ).
The source notes that this proposal was received as part of the preparation of the sixth package of sanctions against Russia. According to Kommersant , the European Union also proposed blacklisting 58 citizens of the Russian Federation, including the wife and children of Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. Mention is made of the inclusion of several military personnel on the sanctions list, but their names and reasons are not disclosed.
