In the underground premises of the Azovstal metallurgical plant, Ukrainian militants can hold more than two hundred civilians, a representative of the headquarters for the liberation of the enterprise told RIA Novosti.

He noted that, despite the successful operation on May 1 to rescue more than a hundred civilians held there by the nationalists from the territory of Azovstal, "the situation there continues to be difficult." He recalled that on May 1, the evacuation was carried out at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and with the support of UN Secretary General António Guterres.

“First of all, this is due to the fact that more than 200 civilians, including women, children and the elderly, can be forcibly detained in the underground premises of the enterprise by the Nazis of Azov *,” the source said .

Recall that from today until May 7, humanitarian corridors will be opened for the evacuation of civilians from the territory of the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol.
