In many respects, life in this South American country is not much different from Russia, but emigrants still like them.

Another mass exodus of Russian citizens has affected, like 100 years ago, South America, including. One of the largest countries on this continent is Argentina. Newly minted resident of its capital, Mark Sh. shares his impressions of the local realities, and first of all, unpleasant ones. However, with all the obvious disadvantages listed by him, he draws completely unexpected conclusions. But first, about the main thing, about what bad awaits a Russian emigrant in distant Argentina:

* Low incomes of the population push the poorest layers to crimes;

* Pervasive middle class apathy;

* Policies aimed at increasing the poor and subsequent control of the electorate through social payments;

* Unbearable social sector for the country, which made the economy hostage to the IMF loan system;

* Anniversary default is on the way;

* Lack of political will and system fatigue;

* Trade unions as a tool to promote the will of the oligarchs and monopolies;

* The outflow of the "white population" and its replacement by migrants from the poorest countries of the continent;

* Unemployment;

* Unstable national currency as a result of two rates (official and street);

* Dog feces everywhere;

* Constant outflow of capital from the country;

* Lack of stimulating investment programs to support the economy;

* Corruption, yes, but even more nepotism;

* Oligarchy;

* Protective policy;

* Difficulties of doing business;

* Unsustainable labor and tax law;

* Almost complete lack of railway logistics due to the protector of the freight trade union;

* Problems with the right of ownership (okupatos), as a result of the difficulty with renting real estate;

* Robberies and thefts are commonplace;

As you can see, this country has plenty of problems, but for some reason the newly arrived Russian-speaking citizens do not notice this and continue to enjoy every day spent here.

For me, the reason for this is simple, so, in the homeland, all these problems are felt much more strongly, and not a very large salary of a thousand dollars by Moscow standards allows you to feel much more pleasant in Buenos Aires than in Moscow.

The main rule is to have remote income, and then you can turn a blind eye to most of the minuses. Otherwise, there is a great chance of working for pesos, and this almost automatically makes your life here extremely difficult ... "

It is noteworthy that one of the readers of this post explained what emigrant complaints are actually connected with, which are heard not only from not quite prosperous countries, like Argentina or Brazil, but also from such prosperous ones, like, for example, Germany or Spain:

“Now there will be an unpopular opinion. But this is true: after reading the minuses and pluses about different countries, you willy-nilly will look everywhere for confirmation of what you believe. This is how our brain works. But if you fly/eat/on a sleigh you get to a place where you think everything will be fine, and you open up there differently, then for you it will be the best country/city/street/house.

My psychologist could also listen to people who talk about the bad economic situation in Italy, how difficult it is with documents - there is so much bureaucracy. How unbearably long everything is and what noisy Italians. But she moved to her Tuscany, met her husband there, they bought a house, took two cool dogs and live very happily. You have to see her eyes - her eyes won't lie. Does she know about these shortcomings of Italy / Spain / Germany / Argentina - all this is about the same thing in essence. I think she knows and even met with them, but her attitude towards this country, people allows her to either live with minimal stress, or it doesn’t hurt her at all.

It's simple: your attitude to the country determines your condition in this country..."
